Hello, I’m Dr. Ramesh. I’m excited to be celebrating International Women’s Day on my podcast “Thriving in the Age of Disruption”, which gives you direct access to the voices, thoughts and wisdom of so many amazing women and men amongst us.

For this International Women’s Day coming up March 8th, let’s all fully #EmbraceEquity so that it becomes a part of our society’s DNA.

Hope Zvara    00:29:  

Women entrepreneurs or women leaders, you can do anything. If you have a dream, if you have something inside of you, do not, under any circumstances, let someone tell you that you can’t. We live in a world where everyone has an opinion about everyone's lives. You gotta learn to put the blinders on, put the earmuffs on, and just put your head down and keep going.

Marina Mahathir    00:48:

The world is in crisis. There's a lot of issues that women are facing. These are all our issues. It's not just an Afghan, Iranian or American women's issue. Because sometimes these things are like a virus, they can spread. So we have to stand in solidarity. We have to stand up for each other, but without imposing our own views on different people.

Daan van Rossum     01:15: 

It really is about equality in a way - Can women now step up and have the same opportunities that men do? My wife is an entrepreneur and at work, most of our team members are female and they are kicking ass and doing really well. It's easy to forget that that's not the case for everyone and that there obviously are still very structural issues around equality.

Jen Vuhuong    01:38:

Women in leadership really make a great impact because as a nature, women have compassion and if you can embrace that, you will be blooming and shining and you deserve that.

Max-F. Scheichenost    01:51:

I’ve the greatest respect for single mothers. How someone can physically, emotionally, mentally handle this. Single mothers, I cannot stop acknowledging them because it’s really incredible.

Radhika Dutt    02:02:

We need more women in leadership positions to influence how we can build a world that works for all, so that we can move away from a lot of the toxic masculinity that has existed in the entrepreneurial and startup world.

Dr. Ramesh Ramachandra    02:19:

International Women's Day has been observed since the early 1900s, and it is a day when we recognise the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is also a day when we raise awareness of the ongoing struggles that many women still face, and the need for us to work together to eliminate gender-based discrimination and violence.

Embracing equity means acknowledging the diversity of women's experiences and working to remove the barriers that prevent some women from achieving their full potential.
